"I've been looking for a new hair stylist in Oakland since I moved here 5 years ago. I found her finally! Martha is wonderful! She is highly skilled, and worked my hair to exactly what I wanted, even showing me new techniques I can use to style. After leaving the salon, my hair got better and cuter throughout the day...even getting compliments from a total stranger. She disclosed that she found her passion for cutting hair at the young age of 19, and was fun to chat with while working her magic. I'm so excited to go back, and am not going to let my hair go forever without a cut anymore! Thank you Martha!"

"What can I say about Martha- I followed Martha ever since - where ever she goes I follow. She is an exceptionally talented hair artist- she knows exactly what I want even before I know it. Perfect hair shaves about 10 years of one's life. Martha is the realest! She will tell me what looks good and what doesn't. I've gone from long to short and back again. With bangs and without. Grays to no grays. We've been through it all and Martha has been with me every step of the way.
Not only is she a master hair artist but she has the best demeanor! She's so easy to talk to - she can always sense when it is a chatty day or just relaxation. I love that about her.
Oh did I mention that I am loving the aesthetics of Shed Salon- so cool and so laid back. Perfect home for Martha."

"Martha is the ABSOLUTE BEST. I've gone to her for years, as did my son. Her cuts are great, her color is great, she'll be honest if she thinks a cut won't work for you, and she is warm and funny as heck! My fave stylist EVER."

"My daughter and I both got cuts and color with Martha. What a gem! She took the time to figure out our (different) hair types and really listened to what we were looking for. My daughter got a curly layered cut and I got a precision cut. They both turned out beautifully. She was also able to help correct some crazy color (daughter) and assist with grey hair transition (me). On top of all that she was gentle, professional, and friendly. I'll definitely be back!"
